What is the memorable word?

After you have registered for online banking with NRCU and logging in successfully for the first time you are asked to create a memorable word.

Please create a word you find easy to remember as it is important when wanting to reset your password.

How to change my memorable word

If you have forgotten your memorable word or are wanting to change it, head over to our mobile app –

  1. In the menu tab select “Personal details”
  2. Select “Security details”
  3. Towards the bottom you will see “Update your memorable word” and your current memorable word will be already displayed there
  4. Press the green button after creating your memorable word
  5. You are all set!

 

If you cannot remember your password next time when logging in your memorable word will allow you to get a new password sent to you via email.

Changing your password

In the case of forgetting your password and requesting a new one either by the memorable word OR by contacting a NRCU staff member, you may want to change it to something you will remember easily but also ensuring it is secure enough to protect your account.

In order to change your password –

  1.  In the menu tab select “Personal details”
  2. Select “Security details”
  3. You will see “Update your Password”
  4. Enter the password which you received by email
  5. Then create new password
  6. Press the green button to confirm
Resetting your password

You will have 3 attempts at logging in before we suspend your account to protect it. If your account has been suspended you must contact NRCU.

If your account has not been suspended and you forgot your password, use the memorable word method to get a new password sent to you via email.

  1. Open the app
  2. Press log in
  3. Click “Forgot Password”
  4. Enter your username, date of birth, then the memorable word,
  5. You will then receive a one time passcode
  6. Press the blue button and follow the remaining steps which allow you to log in
